Otherwise, they could quickly find they are attempting to cram in more employees and equipment than will properly fit in a small space. Several things you can do optimize the space you have available, without having to move to a new office, include: 1. **Use collapsible/expandable furniture.** Modern office furniture features expandable and collapsible designs where desktops, cubicles, and more can be opened and closed as needed. 2. **Install movable/floating walls.** Temporary walls which slide out of adjoining walls can create a conference room for meetings or a small private office, as needed, which helps you maximize the space and adapt it to your current needs. 3. **Utilize overhead wall and ceiling spaces.** Install shelves within reach, but higher up the walls, leaving the lower section of walls free for desks and other office equipment/furniture.
